Day 58

As of today: "Congratulations! Your healthy weight is well worth the effort. It reduces your risk of serious health conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke and diabetes."

Yes, I've reached healthy weight...from obese to normal weight in 8 weeks (+ a day)! Yaaaayyyy!!!!

Day 53

I hate green juice! I want pizza!

I have pizza craving for days, today is the worst. I can't stop thinking about biting in a delicious, warm, guey-cheesy pizza!!!!!
This craving is probably related to my marathon training. Last year I ate 4 slices of pizza after every long run, and I ordered a large pie cheese pizza at 10 in he morning the day following the marathon. My recovery food was pizza and beer. (No wonder I gained 44 lbs. last year)
That must be now my atonement...probably my body is gettig rid off all the junk I consumed with those pizza.
(big sigh)

Day 51

Today is day 52, but I was supposed to write this blog yesterday hence the title. I'll be short as ususal, I just want to give a quick report on my progress as I passed the half-way mark.
I'm feeling great, my energy level is high, have been training for the marathon (ran a 16 miler on Saturday and felt great). I'm still consuming only 3 quarts of juice (instead of 4), which consists of 2 litres of greens and 1 litre of fruit juice.
In  the past 50 days I have lost 37 lbs (17.5% of my body weight),  9 cms from my boobs (3.5 "), 10 cms from my rib cage (4") 19 cms from my waist (7.5"), 11 cms from my hip (4.5") and 7 cms (2.75) from my thigh.
YAAAAAY! :) :) :)

DAY 41

Just a quick note: as of this morning 30 lbs. gone!!!! That makes it exactly 30 lbs. in 40 days. Not bad! I'm feeling good, exercising regurarly, and I keep continue my training for the marathon, which is only a month away.

Day 35

I'm doing great. Training for the marathon. Did my first speed session this week and it felt great, although I'm pretty slow. I'm doing a 12 mile long run later today, as soon as the rain stops. I don't want to get my new running shoes all wet, before I figure out if they're really a good fit for me, in case I have to take them back. (Asics Gel Kayano 16)
I measured my resting heart rate this morning. Probably it's because of the cleanse, but it's down to 50 (a year ago after my first marathon it was 55). Pretty good for an overweight 40 yo. woman. Btw, I'm gonna turn 41 in 5 wks; and btw. I'm down to 186 lbs which means only 18 lbs. to go to reach the heahlty BMI upper limit for my height. Give me 4 more weeks!

This morning, and yesterday, too the MSM powder I had first thing in the morning flushed my body out. Just a few minutes after taking it it came out of me. It didn't cause problems before, and have no problems at night either. Maybe I shouldn't take it for an empty stomach.
Otherwise everything is good, I keep juicing and most of the time I enjoy it. OK, sometimes I get frustrated and wish I could have a large veggie lo-mein, but my weight loss inspires me to keep continue... :)
