Day 72 - Marathon day

Hey Guys!
I did it! After only 7 weeks of training, on the 72nd day of my juice fast, today I ran the NYC Marathon. And listen to this: I ran 31 minutes faster then last year, and I achieved my goal of breaking 5 hours (with 9 seconds to spare - it was a close call). I drank a litre of green juice of red leaf lettuce, kale, celery, zucchini, lime and green apple for breakfast, and drank grapefuit juice throughout the race as I needed and took only a spoonful of honey at mile 18. I'm very proud of myself. My energy level is very high. I am also 40 lbs less then I was at last year's race ( a total of 50 lbs weightloss on the fast as of today), which clearly helps to be faster, but I also know for sure I couldn't pull this marathon off on such a short training without the juice fast! Tomorrow I'll drink lots of kale juice, and I'm sure I'll have a fast recovery.
I just wish my running club mates would stop making negative comments about my fast and raw vegan eating habits. Even if I prove that one can have great achievments by changing dietary habits, they think I just got lucky. Oh well, I'm sure you guys know very well how skeptic "regular" folks are! :)
